Today, we split into groups of 5 or so and divided into 5 different stations in order to study composition, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and the various useful-but-obscure functions of a tripod. City Center, of course, provided the perfect venue with the green agriculture, trickling water, distinguished stepping stones, delicious and cute restaurants (shout out to Ruggles Green) and the interesting interior decor of select stores such as free people and, a personal fave of mine, anthro.
"I don't speak Italian." I'm headed to Italy and Greece for the next two weeks and am not familiar with either language. Yikes! (Or as the Italians say, “Mamma mia!”) Though being blindly immersed into each culture may include me accidentally entering a closet rather than a bathroom or confusing the salt for sugar, these mishaps, if not for the sole purpose of keeping my blog followers entertained, are what make trips like this an experience rather than a future memory. Wish me luck! Ciao!

ἀἰὲν ἀριστεύειν: aièn aristeúein: ever to excel
I found this common greek phrase, meaning "ever to excel," out of Homer's Iliad and felt it fit perfectly with today's lesson. The goal of today was to concentrate on 5 areas of expertise, so my photography is not splendid yet, but, with this new foundation, hopefully it'll improve and become something more than just a couple lucky shots every now and then. Only time will tell! Ciao for now!
